PROTECTION, JUSTICE AND RESTORATION FOR AFRICA'S PERSECUTED CHRISTIANS.
"Here in this grave are 22 people who were killed. All of them were Christians. Just like how my wife and children were killed."
Those are the words of Pastor Josiah, standing at the edge of a mass grave in his rural Nigerian village. On November 28, 2022, extremists surrounded his home. His wife, Rebekah, was shot. Josiah and his children were taken and held captive for more than two months.
"They mocked us," Josiah remembers. "They said, 'You follow Jesus. Where is He now?'"
Josiah escaped, but the grief and trauma stayed with him. In Nigeria alone, an average of 12 Christians are killed every day.
Through trauma care made possible by believers like you, Josiah is finding a way forward. "There is power in your prayer," he says. "Your prayers reach anywhere."
Josiah is asking the global church for two things:
Pray. Ask God to protect Christians in Nigeria and across sub-Saharan Africa, and to bring healing to families like Josiah's.
Sign the Arise Africa petition. Join the call for protection, justice, and restoration before the November 2 deadline.
"How long O Lord"
